Aamna Shehzad – Thursday, 14th May

Aamna Shehzad is a Campaign Officer at the Asian University for Women. She has also worked as a publicity intern with COP30, and will be speaking about the structure and mission of AUW as well as opportunities for university students to get involved.

Chirantan Chatterjee – Saturday, 16th May

Dr Chirantan Chatterjee is a professor of economics and innovation at the University of Sussex. His research focuses on artificial intelligence, technological change, innovation policy, and their impact on labour markets and wage inequality

Dennis Avilés – Thursday, 4th June

Dennis Lucy Avilés is a researcher in gender and development at the University of Bonn’s Center for Development Research. Her work focuses on gender inclusion, rural development, agriculture, and environmental sustainability across Latin America and other global regions.

Stefan Dercon – Wednesday, 15th June

Stefan Dercon is a development economist and professor at the University of Oxford whose research focuses on poverty, economic development, institutions, and policy in low- and middle-income countries. He has also advised governments and international organisations on development strategy and inclusive growth.

Intan Suwandi – Thursday, 16th June

Intan Suwandi is a sociologist and researcher at Illinois State University whose work focuses on global value chains, digital capitalism, labour, and contemporary imperialism, with particular attention to inequality and exploitation in the global economy.

Avi Bram – June TBC

Avi Bram is an economist at the UK Intellectual Property Office whose work focuses on intellectual property rights and innovation policy. He previously worked at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills on widening access to higher education and has a background in social research and policy analysis.

Tamara Silver – June TBC

Tamara Silver is a Senior Policy and Programme Manager at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. Her work focuses on international development policy, programme management, and cross-government strategic initiatives.
